CREW ZONE
The Crew is a loose collection of volunteers offering some time and effort to further our cause. See the Crew Guidelines PDF download below.
By doing something, anything that helps the club, just offer or ask. Leave the Crew anytime without hassle or guilt, you can rejoin.
Yes you get to contribute to the club, maybe wear a high visibility vest and use a radio! You do become a 'Contributing Member' which gives you early access to activities where numbers are limited.
Crew GuidelineS
The Crew is a loose collection of volunteers offering some time and effort to further our cause. Here are the guidelines.
1. Get on the Crew by doing something, anything that helps the club, just offer or ask
2. Leave the Crew anytime without hassle or guilt, you can rejoin
3. Join the Crew WhatsApp group, that’s how we communicate
4. Don’t post ‘memes’ (images, videos, GIFs, and various other viral sensations) to the WhatsApp group
5. When a request for help is made don’t tell us you can’t make it, that scrolls the request up the page out of view 6. When at a meet or event keep an eye on the Crew WhatsApp Group for timely information and help requests from other Crew members 7. If you use kit, for example a high vis vest, two way radio, sign etc remember to return it when your session ends 8. Keep an eye on other Crew in case they need a coffee, butty, break or help 9. Remember when Crewing you are representing all of us so best foot forward #obvious 10. Have fun, that’s what volunteering is about.
Code of Conduct
We aim to promote a respectful, inclusive, and enjoyable atmosphere for a diverse range of automotive and motorcycle enthusiasts, including their friends and families. We believe in the responsible enjoyment of automotive culture, which requires strict adherence to traffic laws and a safe, considerate approach to the local community.
Safeguarding & Conduct Expectations
We are committed to providing a safe environment free from harassment, bullying, and discrimination. All members, guests, and families must be treated with dignity. We strictly prohibit offensive language, targeted harassment, sexual harassment, and any form of discriminatory behaviour.
Families and Minors: Children and minors under the age of 18 are welcome at our events but must remain under the direct supervision of a parent or legal guardian at all times.
Reporting & Accountability
If you experience or witness any behaviour that threatens the safety, well-being, or comfort of any individual, please report it immediately to a member of club management or a Crew member or via our confidential reporting line at admin@menwithmachines.org.uk.
Enforcement
Club management takes all safeguarding concerns seriously. We reserve the right to immediately suspend any individual while a conduct review is conducted. Anyone found to violate these safeguarding principles or engage in illegal activities will be permanently banned from the club, and illegal conduct will be reported to law enforcement.
